Kumaraguru College of Technology offers UG and PG courses mainly in the streams of Engineering, Management and Information Technology. The institute has 9 research centres for promoting R&D leading to a PhD or M.S degree. KCT has also entered into a collaboration with various universities overseas to provide global exposure to its students.

• Shravan. S (12BEC141), Sundar S (12BEC160), Shrinath K (12BEC144) of final year ECE won a cash price of 50,000/- (II place) for the project titled “Tennis Tutor” in the Annual Graphical System Design Contest NIYANTRA 2015 conducted by National Instruments India during October 2015.

• Shravan. S(12BEC141), Sundar S (12BEC160), Shrinath K (12BEC144) of final year ECE won a cash price of 7,500/- (II place) for the project titled “Smart card for Bus Transportation” from the Honourable Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in e-governance 2015 – 16, by the Govt. of Tamilnadu during November 2015.

• Abinaya. S (14BEC007), Arul Prasanth (14BEC019) and Arun Kumar T (14BEC211) participated in the final round of Mitsubishi Electric Cup –  A National Level Automation competition held at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Bibwewadi, Pune in the month of March 2016.

Faculty Achievements:

• Ms P. Pavithra was awarded “Young Women Achiever Award in the field of Communication and Network Engineering” from Venus International Foundation during March 2016.

• R. Karthikeyan bagged the Engal Aasan award from the Management on the account of Teachers day Celebration on September 2016.

• A. Vasuki was awarded the Best Faculty by cognizant Technology Solutions Ltd. In the year 2014.

• S. Raghav Menon has been deputed for Post Doctoral Fellowship at South Africa for a period of one year.
